There is no other piece of period literature that gives you that same sense! But as you read the Biblical Gospels, you forget that you are reading something that is, amazingly, two thousand years old because it feels so modern. The ideas are modern, and even the way that Jesus expresses and uses them seems to be so amazingly modern. And then you catch yourself and wonder. What is it about Jesus that makes what He talks about feel so oddly twenty-first-century? Simply put, Jesus genuinely understands consciousness. In fact, He understands consciousness even far better than do most people in the twenty-first century, and therein lies a tale that can be briefly told.<\/p><p>Max Planck won the 1918 Nobel Prize in Physics as the father of quantum mechanics. In 1931 Dr. Planck said, <em><strong>\u201dI regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.\u201d He said in 1944, \u201cAs a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear-headed science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about atoms this much: There is no matter as such.\u00a0All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Albert Einstein, another Nobel laureate, never was quite so blunt as Dr. Planck, but apparently he had the same suspicions. For example, he said, <em><strong>\u201cOur experience of separation may be an illusion of consciousness.\u201d <\/strong><\/em>And, <em><strong>\u201cThe world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.\u201d<\/strong> Physicist Sir James Jeans simply said,<strong> \u201cThe universe begins to look more like a great thought than a great machine.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Jesus would have understood precisely what these twentieth-century physicists were talking about. All of His healing was done by joining the power of His mind to the power of the mind of the person that He was healing, and He told us that God is in fact Spirit. Jesus told us that God is Consciousness.<\/p><p>What Max Planck actually discovered when he found that he could not get behind consciousness was the base creative force which continuously manifests all of reality, and in fact nothing else but Consciousness exists. Dr. Planck had inadvertently found God. Consciousness is the only thing that actually exists, and it continuously manifests everything else, which is why Jesus is so comfortable using its powers. Consciousness is a form of energy, and so it vibrates. Each of us is a part of that energy, not separately and discretely but as a drop of water is a part of the sea; and at its highest vibration, Consciousness is the High God, what Jesus calls the Father. The fact that mainstream scientists still acknowledge none of this does not change any of what it true. It only delays by another generation or two the moment when their materialist house of cards must inevitably fall apart, because \u2013 as Jesus could tell them \u2013 mainstream science for the past century has been built upon the shifting sand of a baseless materialist dogma that is built upon nothing but their own clueless imaginations. At this point, the scientific community is reduced to wasting a billion dollars in a fruitless search for a source of Consciousness inside the human brain, which would be laughable if there were not better uses for those funds in \u2013 say \u2013 feeding starving children in Africa, perhaps. And what would you have to say about that, Jesus? He might say, <em><strong>\u201cEveryone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. \u00a0And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house, and it fell\u2014and its collapse was great\u201d<\/strong><\/em> (MT 7:26-27).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Extraordinary Knowledge Consciousness What may be most arresting about closely studying the Biblical Gospels is the strong sense they give you that Jesus is a fully modern Man.
